Louisiana is a state located in the southern region of the United States. Louisiana is the 31st most extensive and the 25th most populous of the 50 United States. Its capital is Baton Rouge and largest city is New Orleans. Louisiana is bordered by Arkansas to the north, Mississippi to the east, Texas to the west, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south.

The Port of South Louisiana, located on the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, is the largest volume shipping port in the Western Hemisphere and 4th largest in the world, as well as the largest bulk cargo port in the world. Nevertheless, Tourism is an important element in the economy, especially in the New Orleans area. Tourism and culture are major players in Louisiana’s economy, earning an estimated $5.2 billion per year. Louisiana also hosts many important cultural events, such as the World Cultural Economic Forum, which is held annually in the fall at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.

At present, the largest casino in Louisiana in terms of gaming capacity is the Harrah’s New Orleans Casino and Hotel. This casino hosts an impressive amount of gaming machines and slot games, totaling to 3,800. It also has over 100 table games, plus 20 live poker tables housed in a dedicated and exclusive poker room.
