The only casino gaming center in the entire Australian Capital Territory, Casino Canberra is an average-sized gaming hub in Canberra, the capital city of the country of Australia. It is situated at the heart of Canberra, in its Central Business District.
Relatively speaking, Casino Canberra is quite small compared to the other full blown casino and hotel resorts in Australia. Nevertheless, this casino gaming hub hosts a respectable number of gaming tables and peripherals. The gaming facility has a total of 45 tables for the classic and popular casino games, including Rapid Roulette, Money Wheel, Canberra Poker, Pontoon, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, and of course Blackjack.
In addition to the gaming tables, Casino Canberra also has six (6) dedicated Poker tables. Canberra visitors and players can enjoy the following games here: 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud, Omaha, Poker Draw, and the popular Texas Hold ‘em. Casino players should take note though that this gaming center is not open 24/7; its operating hours is from 12 noon up to 4 AM in the wee hours of the morning.
Unfortunately, there are currently no gaming machines or video slots available in Casino Canberra, because the state laws do not permit it to operate such. This may, however, change soon, as plans to rebuild the casino into a full-featured casino and hotel resort are underway. This project is initiated by the casino’s new owner, Aquis Entertainment.
Casino Canberra is solely a casino gaming hub, so its amenities do not include hotel accommodations and other side attractions like theaters, pools, or spas. Nonetheless, there is a restaurant and bar located inside its premises.
The upper floor of the Casino Canberra, called Déjà vu, can also be rented for Function utilities and conferences. It features a bar and a dance floor with DJ facilities.
The restaurant in Casino Canberra is called the Natural Nine, a gourmet dining joint established by award-winning Chef Chad Ogden. It offers a wide-ranging cuisine of seafood, salads, steaks and other plates that are aimed to please the Australian palate.
